Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to work at our Belleville, IL location, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.


  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the buildings and grounds.
  • Perform basic carpentry repairs/painting, basic plumbing tasks, and minor electrical tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year experience in building maintenance with basic carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment is helpful.
  • Must be able to operate floor machines and ground maintenance equipment (snow removal).
  • Must be able to lift and push a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and work off of a ladder.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet standards for agency auto insurance coverage.
