Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Secretary/Receptionist for our Granite City, IL location, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Providing reception services including greeting customers and directing them to the desired destination, answering phones, routing calls, and taking messages.
  • Scheduling clinical appointments and assist in maintaining staff schedules by entering and updating information in the EMR.
  • Receiving and recording payments following prescribed procedures in the EMR Lock Box.
  • Assisting with providing information about fees and obtain financial information and copy Medical cards necessary to establish a fee for service with consumers.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Also requires excellent telephone skills with the ability to handle a high volume of calls.
  • Experience using an electronic health record or scheduling software is required. General knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment (i.e., filing, basic word processing, and ability to operate copier, fax, and scanning equipment) required.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion with HIPAA and other confidential information required.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse population.
  • Basic keyboarding skills and experience using Microsoft products including Word and Outlook required.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
