Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Coordinator to work within our Chestnut Family Health Center at our Bloomington, IL facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical assistant duties on assigned shifts.
  • Supervise assigned medical assistant staff under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years’ prior experience (five (5) years’ preferred), as a Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant in an ambulatory setting.
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in an ambulatory setting required.
  • Medical Assistant certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
  • Must have ability to effectively direct and supervise assigned staff.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR) and the ability to assist in a variety of common office procedures.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
