Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Belleville, IL facility, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.



  • Provide direct psychiatric prescriber services in accordance with a collaborative agreement with assigned physician.
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, follow-ups, and medication monitoring.
  • Reinforce evidence-based practices including the recovery philosophy utilizing the elements of hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness from a trauma-informed care approach.


  • Illinois RN license with Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Illinois APN license required with certification in Psychiatry preferred.
  • Ability to prescribe for an adult or child & adolescent population.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Experience in psychiatric mental health nursing is preferred.
  • Experience with substance use treatment and children and adolescents is preferred.
