Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work within our Chestnut Family Health Center at our Bloomington, IL facility.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and evaluate medical tests.
  • Take vital signs.
  • Phlebotomy.
  • Provide support services for medical staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Medical Office Assistant (CMOA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification.
  • One year experience as a Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant in an ambulatory/outpatient family practice, community health center or specialty practice setting preferred.
  • Solid understanding of comprehensive health services required.
  • Must be willing to adhere to organization and stated program policies and procedures and documentation protocols.
  • Must be self-directed and able to provide services outlined in duties and responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, referral sources, staff, vendors and the public.
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR) and the ability to assist in a variety of common medical and medical office procedures.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
