Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a knowledgeable, full-time Community Relations Coordinator to work at our Granite City, IL facility, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.


  • Develop and coordinate a strategy to increase referrals to appropriate programs that incorporates both sales and relations management approaches with specific attention to program census and payer mix needs.
  • Develop, manage and grow business relationships to position Chestnut for future growth in a rapidly changing marketplace.
  • Conduct and track face-to-face, telephonic and web-based relationship building/maintenance activities and referrals.


  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or a related field with one (1) to three (3) years’ work-related experience.
  • This position also requires excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with the ability to be flexible and manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Must be self-motivated, performance driven, and results oriented as well as a team player with a positive collaborative style, and a good listener with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Requires Windows-based computer experience or training minimally in Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Must have previous sales experience, experience and/or training on Customer Resource Management (CRM) approaches and software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable.
  • Some irregular hours and occasional overnight travel required.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
