    Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to work at our Granite City, IL location, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.

    Responsibilities

    Building Maintenance

    • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the buildings and grounds.
    • Perform basic carpentry repairs/painting.
    • Perform basic plumbing tasks.
    • Client room prep – prepare for incoming client(s).
    • Maintain tools and supplies.
    • Trouble-shoot and adjust HVAC.
    • Perform minor electrical tasks.
    • Complete assigned Maintenance Work Request(s) (MWR).

     

    General Duties

    • Empty and haul trash (where applicable).
    • Maintain carpet (spot clean) and ceramic/tiled floors – strip, buff, wax, and repair.
    • Perform room setups including furniture move and equipment moves.

     

    Inventory

    • Unload and stock food (where applicable).
    • Stock supplies as needed (where applicable).

     

    Grounds

    • Maintain walks, parking lots and grounds keeping litter free.
    • Snow removal (sidewalks).

     

    Other Duties

    • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.
    • Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities, including but not limited to, financial and client information.
    • Other duties as assigned may include but not limited to: vehicle maintenance, custodial, laundry and grounds maintenance.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Individual must be a high school graduate or equivalent and shall have a minimum of one (1) year experience in building maintenance with basic carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical skills. 
    • Familiarity with electrical equipment is helpful.
    • Must be able to operate floor machines and ground maintenance equipment (snow removal).
    • Lift and push a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to climb and work off of a ladder.
    • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
