Chestnut Family Health Center, a division of Chestnut Health Systems, is seeking a full-time Dental Manager for our Bloomington, IL location.


Exciting opportunity for experienced dental professional.  Chestnut seeks the right candidate to establish its new dental clinic operations. Duties include recruiting and hiring staff, managing daily operations, and serving as a member of family health center management team. Coordinate comprehensive patient care with colleagues who provide for patients’ integrated dental, primary and behavioral health care under one roof. You’ll enjoy working in our beautiful 29,000 square foot building which recently reopened following an $8 million renovation.

  • Recruiting and hiring staff.
  • Managing daily operations.
  • Coordinating privileging and credentialing for providers
  • Serving as a member of family health center management team.


  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or similar discipline with two (2) years administrative experience in a dental practice, health center or dental clinic environment; OR a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of three (3) years dental management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental office procedures and use of dental and Microsoft Office software is required. 
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. 
  • Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and discretion with HIPAA and other confidential information. 
  • Must be able to work independently and manage several tasks and staff at one time. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse group of people and maintain appropriate working relationships exercising good judgment and discretion. 
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
