Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking full-time Youth and Family Support Services Coordinator to work at our Belleville, IL facility, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Outpatient and School Based programs in St. Clair County including the System of Care Grant.
  • Coordinate development, planning, implementation and evaluation of services according to all governing policies and procedures to improve services for youth and families.
  • Set an example for and reinforce evidence-based practices, including but not limited to, the recovery philosophy utilizing the elements of hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness, trauma informed care, harm reduction.
  • Act as a role model and provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure positive interaction within Chestnut and the community to sustain a favorable program reputation, especially related to working directly with school districts, courts, and DCFS.
  • Train, ensure competencies and evaluate staff, interns and volunteers.
  • Coordinate referrals and maintain referral sources.
  • Provide direct services to consumers and their families at an assigned level of service expectation.
  • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and consumer information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, required or specifically negotiated with supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master’s degree in a human services field;
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of human service experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable.
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word and Excel, Outlook, and an electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
