Chestnut Health Systems is seeking part-time, as-needed Recovery Assistants to work within our residential substance abuse treatment program at our Maryville, IL facility, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.


A shift differential is available for weekend, evening, and overnight hours.

We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A, as well as provides employee assistance programs internationally.

  • Monitoring clients;
  • Assisting with daily programs;


  • Must be 21 years old with a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must display an interest and ability to work with youth effectively.
  • Must regularly be available for weekend shifts.
  • Availability for different shifts a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills required.
  • Experience in working with adolescent substance abuse (alcohol and other drugs) is also preferred.
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.

These part-time positions include eligibility for our retirement savings plan, and employee assistance program.
