Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a part-time Receptionist to work 10 to 20 hours per week for our Bloomington, IL facility. Evening and/or weekend shifts may be required.

 

This position is eligible for a shift differential!

Responsibilities

  • Provide reception services; greet and direct clients and visitors to the desired destination; answer multi-line telephone: transfer, take messages and announce calls. Answer basic questions about clinical services or direct calls to appropriate staff.  Assure safety of clients and visitors in waiting room.
  • Triage phone calls, schedule various medical appointments, check patients in and out, and collect co-payments when working in the Chestnut Family Health Center.
  • Attend to the needs of clients by scheduling appointments, collecting payments for client accounts or drug screens, providing refunds from the petty cash account, administering and collecting client intake paperwork, and administering and scoring clinical inventories (i.e. MMPI-2, BASIS 32).
  • Present a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor to clients, visitors, and other staff at all times.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as printing documents or reports from the CMHC systems; data entry into an Excel or Access database; Essist entry, and other data entry as required.
  • Provide support services to staff through such tasks as posting and distributing mail and photocopying or faxing documents as requested.
  • Maintain inventory of books, manuals, policy handbooks, etc. as needed for clinical services.
  • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Must have intermediate computer skills using Word; beginner skills using Excel; and the ability to learn other Microsoft Office Products. 

  • Must demonstrate good business telephone etiquette and have the ability to use a multiple-line phone system. 

  • General knowledge of standard office routines, use of office equipment, clerical skills, word processing, data entry, and filing required. 

  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
