Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to work at our Belleville location, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas.

Responsibilities

The Employment Specialist utilizes an evidence-based approach to assist consumers in finding and maintaining employment within their chosen fields. The Employment Specialist is a community-based position that focuses on building rapport with employers and assist consumers throughout their employment journey.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent to five (5) years’ supervised mental health experience;
  • Or a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related humane services field;
  • Or a bachelor’s degree in any other field with two (2) years’ supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting;
  • Or a certificate of psychiatric rehabilitation from a DHS-approved program plus a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience in providing mental health services;
  • Or a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) in good standing with the State of Illinois.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable.
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
