Help individuals and families in your role as a counselor at Chestnut. This full-time position is based in Bloomington, IL. Primarily weekdays/daytime hours.
Provide therapy indicated in treatment/recovery/safety plan. Includes individual, family and group counseling. Facilitate skills and educational groups. Develop master treatment plans and continuing care plans. Maintain contact with clients’ collaterals (e.g. probation, family members, psychiatrist). Testify in court when requested. Demonstrate project management capability or leadership potential.
Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness.
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience. Basic computer experience including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat; and an electronic medical record. Must have valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and be insurable.
