Responsibilities

Provide assessment, treatment planning, and services identified in treatment/recovery/safety plan through  individual & group counseling. Use evidence-based practices including CRA. Provide education on mental health and substance use to encourage family involvement.

 

Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in the behavioral health field OR a bachelor’s degree. Must obtain Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor or Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification (CADC or CRADC) within two years of hire. Must be willing to be trained in Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and obtain CRA certification within 3 months following training. Basic computer skills including MS Office and an electronic medical record.
