As we grow, we’re seeking a electronic medical records (EMR) Support Specialist who will play a vital role in ensuring our EMR systems run seamlessly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Attain expertise in Chestnut’s EMR systems, serving as the primary support and administrator, manage user accounts, security roles, and permissions for both staff and external clinical systems.
  • Oversee regular maintenance activities, such as software patching, and ensure the EMR systems are effectively used as decision support tools.
  • Respond quickly to help desk requests, collaborate with other Data Team members, and solve EMR-related problems.
  • Work closely with clinical management and the Data Systems Manager to provide end-user and "train-the-trainer" training for assigned EMR systems.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, user documentation, and procedures to ensure systems run smoothly.
  • Integrate EMR systems with other data platforms at Chestnut, working alongside staff to enhance system functionality.
  • Help drive continuous improvement by contributing to system improvements and exploring new ways to integrate EMR systems across the organization.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in health information management, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in EMR support, database administration, or report writing.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and solve system issues.
  • At least one year of experience supporting EMR systems, or three years of equivalent experience in database administration, report writing, or EMR support.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, maintain system documentation, and ensure the EMR systems are running efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
