As a Medical Assistant Trainee, you’ll greet patients, check them in, take vital signs, and assist with exams and paperwork throughout the day. You'll also help keep the office organized by prepping charts, stocking supplies, and supporting the medical team in delivering great care!

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, manage check-ins/outs and answer phone calls.
  • Update electronic medical records (EMR) and scan documents.
  • Prepare for next-day appointments by reviewing charts and gathering paperwork.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, perform screenings, and assist with paperwork.
  • Administer basic tests, perform blood draws, assist with medical exams, and manage inventory.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant training program
  • Must obtain CMA or CNA certification within the first year of employment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft suite, and EMR systems.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is $16.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
