Overview

Excellent opportunity for someone passionate about prevention education and who feels called to work with middle school and senior high school students. This full-time position will be working in the Edwardsville, IL region and remotely and will be based out of our Granite City, IL office.

Responsibilities

Teach evidence-based substance use prevention in person to students in Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois. Share information about local resources. Provide community education and awareness about substance use. Collect and analyze data.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, or a behavioral health-related field plus minimum 2 years’ experience OR Masters degree in BH-related field. Intermediate Microsoft Office, Zoom, and online reporting software skills. Public speaking experience. Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills. Valid drivers’ license and private auto insurance. Must be insurable. Ability to travel to schools and other locations in the site plan area. Must have home internet connection. Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance. Preferred: Knowledge of community-based prevention and community organizing, prevention theory and strategies, and substance use and related research. Helpful: understanding of learning styles and curriculum development.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
