Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic and assessment  evaluations with clients in the Mclean County Detention Facility as well as court-involved clients and their families, with periodic guidance and oversight as required; write assessment  letters to address diagnosis and patient placement criteria with periodic guidance and oversight as required; write biopsychosocial assessment  reports if
  • Work with Associate Director of Court Treatment Programs to determine appropriate treatment recommendations for
  • Conduct admissions and
  • Maintain contact with clients on waiting lists; provide supportive services in the interim .
  • Provide informational, skills, or educational groups as
  • Maintain records of client and all services provided within assigned programs.
  • Provide individual, family and group counseling and rehabilitation services to clients and their families (basic and intermediate level). Clinical functions determined by individual training, experience  and assigned area(s) of
  • Maintain regular contact with each client's collaterals (such as probation, family, psychiatrist).
  • Coordinate referrals and maintain positive relationships with court referral
  • Provide case management services for clients as
  • Provide court testimony when requested.
  • Attend and participate in all program and staff meetings as
  • Participate in program and staff development
  • Assist in the orientation of new clinicians and interns.
  • Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut's behavioral standards for customer service.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field; or a Bachelor's degree in any other field with at least two (2) years’ supervised experience in a mental health or substance use treatment
  • Must obtain a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor certification (CADC) within 2 years of hire.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance and be insurable (when applicable).
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.00 - $22.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
