Overview

This is a hybrid work opportunity with work done in Southern Illinois communities, from home or other work location! Use your experience and knowledge of prevention theory and research, program development, needs assessment and evaluation, and community capacity building in this full-time role based in Granite City, IL. 

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to providers, schools, and community entities as they develop evidence-based Prevention programming. Reach out to community stakeholders to promote integration of substance use prevention and other prevention services. Develop, conduct, and analyze needs assessments and program evaluations. Develop and evaluate educational/informational material. Develop, conduct, and evaluate Prevention trainings for providers and community groups. Mentor and train staff members and interns. Help coordinate a regional youth prevention integration advisory group.

 

Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.

Qualifications

Degree in education, public health, or a behavioral health-related field (Bachelor’s plus 5 years’ related experience OR Master’s plus 2 years’ related experience). Knowledge of prevention theory and research, program development, needs assessment and evaluation, and community capacity building. Prefer experience in grant writing and budgeting. Ability to provide leadership, handle large projects, and collaborate with others. Advanced Microsoft Office, Zoom, and online reporting software skills. Valid drivers’ license and private auto insurance. Must be insurable. Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $44,400 - $50,575 annual salary. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity. Check out additional benefits here!
